Thursday night my friend came and picked me up and we went to My Bar to watch a coworker do karaoke. He sang Salt and Pepper’s Push It. It was hilarious. After that we went to Buckeye Doughnuts to meet some other friends. I like that place, it is a nice little hang out. We ate a huge plate of cheesy fries and did some collaborative doodles and talked. Fun times! Then we went back and got my truck and I drove over to my friends house. We played on her computer for a bit then it was nearly 5am so I went home. She showed me Salad Fingers, craziest cartoon I have ever seen!

Friday morning I got up and met a friend for coffee at Cup O Joe. She wanted me to take some pictures of her tattoos for her. It was nice to have morning coffee with a friend. We saw another person we knew there too. After that I went to Half Price Books where I found a Led Zepplin record for $2! I also bought a DVD The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. We saw a clip of it in film class long ago and I always wanted to see the whole thing. Haven’t had time to watch it yet.

Later I got a hold of another friend and met her at Whole World for dinner. I had Black bean sweet potato quesadillas and a pecan sandy. Yum! After that we went to some of the stores around that area then went to Zen Cha. I had Black Forest tea and she had Spring Berries so I got to check two more off the list. :P Then we went back to her house and she showed me her pictures from Costa Rica and we had some crazy deep discussions about life stuff.

I did so much stuff on my day off that I feel like I had several days off. That is probably a good thing. Back to choppin’ fruit this afternoon.

The Cabinet of Dr Caligari
I saw this movie about 4 months ago at the old Regent Theater in downtown Spfld. It was very creepy for its time and so inventive with the special effects. The musical score which accompanied it was played live by a local band. I feel certain that their interpretation was a lot scarier than the original score. :) Barbara
