This morning I did some more carpet cleaning with the new machine. I really hate cleaning the carpet but it has to get done. I also moved some furniture around. I threw out the plants I let die on my plant rack and put that in the living room. Now my record player, receiver, speakers and some other stuff are on that rack. I am going to put the cedar chest in the bedroom when the carpet dries and store my sweaters in it. I also got a second coat of paint on the sewing table and put it where it is going to stay with the sewing machine on it. That is a start. I can’t believe how much I have done and my place still looks like a pig sty. I also made whole wheat pizza dough with Italian seasoning in the bread maker then made a yummy cheese pizza. I made hummus too. I don’t have a food processor or anything so I just mashed it with a fork until it was creamy. That took awhile. I saw a food processor today online that you hand crank, I want one of those. My extremely neglected cymbidium orchid has a new growth so it got to stay. I can’t believe that thing is alive and I really can’t believe it is growing, those things must be impossible to kill!
This afternoon I decided I should take the bike out and see if it needs any work and how my legs are doing after the long winter. I put Mocha in my back pack and we rode around the block. When we were almost at Rita’s, the custard place, Mocha hopped out of the backpack! We were almost stopped but that was a big jump. I think he had to potty because that is what he did as soon as he landed. I don’t think the back pack is going to work, I need to get a basket or something for him to sit in. I would like to find one that is like a little cage or something so I don’t have to worry about him jumping out. We rode 2.06 miles. Not bad for the first ride of the year. I had vanilla custard in a waffle cone. I tried to share it with Mo but he didn’t want any. He got a pet from a very enthusiastic little girl. He loves people. On the way back in he got to see his little doggie friend Sassy who is a rat terrier and got a pet from her Mom. Sassy dog makes Mocha look big and that is funny. He is all worn out now and he didn’t even have to peddle. :P
I found this cool website today about people who have a little urban yard but live off of the food they grow in it. http://www.pathtofreedom.com/
